As head coach of Lindenwood University’s Weightlifting team Trent Crain has trained hundreds of athletes and has been a coach of 7 national championship teams. Many of these athletes wanted to continue under his programming after graduation. Thus was born the Lindenwood Club Weightlifting Team. Over time this school fundraiser morphed into becoming an LLC not affiliated with the university.
Starting in late 2024 Lionheart Weightlifting started renting night time space from a local crossfit gym. In early 2026 Lionheart got an amazing opportunity to join the Ready 2 Live Wellness Collective at their current location on Kingshighway Blvd
Why Lionheart?
The name Lionheart came from 2 parts: The Lindenwood Lion – representing where Trent and Calvin first met. Heart – representing Trent and Calvin’s love for weightlifting and coaching. Lionheart’s purple and yellow represent the royal treatment you’ll get as a member of our gym.
